Jordan Campbell is a journalist, photographer, and award-winning documentary filmmaker. He’s also an accomplished international mountaineer, participating in high-altitude expeditions to Nepal, India and Tibet and climbing exploits across Europe, Asia and the Americas. 

 

Through these life-affirming experiences, Jordan has come to understand risk and sacrifice, and most importantly, the human condition in conflict regions. Recognizing the unfolding crisis in Ukraine, Jordan embarked on three missions to the country, utilizing his reporting skills to make a positive difference for the nation and its people.

 

Jordan is also an accomplished writer and has authored feature articles for National Geographic, Outside, Climbing, Inside Hook and Men's Journal. His film work, most notably to draw attention to cataract blindness and child heart disease in developing countries, along with other media assignments, has taken him to Nepal, Kosovo, Lebanon, Cameroon, South Sudan and conflict-affected countries like Colombia, Libya and Iraq. 

 

Jordan is also the director of the award-winning documentary film, Duk County, Peace is in Sight in the New South Sudan, which chronicles life-changing eye surgery in South Sudan’s kinetic Jonglei state. The film won the Indomitable Spirit Award and Moving Mountains Prize at Telluride Mountainfilm and screened twice at the United Nations. 

Jordan is the founder of Ramro Global, a socially driven film production company that spotlights various people, organizations, issues and challenges that define the worldwide humanitarian space.
